The Listening section of the IELTS assesses your ability to understand spoken English in various contexts. It consists of four recordings, each followed by a set of questions. The recordings include a range of accents, such as British, American, Australian, and others.
A question booklet and an answer sheet will be given to you. The recordings will be played only once, and you will have time to read the questions and answer them as you listen. The types of questions may include multiple-choice, matching, labeling diagrams or maps, completing sentences, or short-answer questions.
The Listening section takes approximately 30 minutes, including the time given to transfer your answers to the answer sheet.
