Admit Achievers

What is the Writing section of the IELTS like?

The Writing section of the IELTS evaluates your ability to write in English effectively. It consists of two tasks that assess different aspects of writing skills.

In Task 1, you will be presented with a visual representation, such as a graph, chart, or diagram, in the Academic module. For the General Training module, you will be given a situation or problem and asked to write a letter. In both cases, you are required to provide a clear and accurate description, summary, or explanation based on the given information.

In Task 2, you will be presented with an essay question that requires you to express your opinion, discuss a problem, or provide arguments on a specific topic. You need to develop a coherent and well-structured essay with relevant supporting points and examples.

The Writing section is 60 minutes long, with 20 minutes allocated for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2. It is important to manage your time effectively to complete both tasks within the given time frame.
